ECD management in high-angle and complex wells

  • Al finalizar el curso podrá descargar su certificado de participación, expedido por Bauerberg Klein en formato digital (.pdf)
  • Incluye: Material de Estudio – Clases Virtuales – Consultas al Instructor (cuando corresponda)

General Objective:

In this course we will teach the students how to design the ECD constrains around your well. What is the influence of the drilling parameters on your ECD and SPP. Wellbore instability will be explained in details as well the influence of the surge and swab on your well. Several case studies will be used to teach the students how to design a well fit to be drilled and completed. The training will be delivered by the usage of slides, animations and videos. Industry lessons learned, rules of thumb and case studies will be shown to the students.

The course consists of 9 modules. After you finish this course, you have much better grasp on how to prevent issues from occurring on your high-angle wells and not ending up with a train rack.

Introduction.
Module 1: ECD Management in high-angle vs vertical wells.
Module 2: ECD Management in high-angle and complex wells.
Module 3: Drilling parameters effect on SPP and ECD engineering.
Module 4: Basics of wellbore instability.
Module 5: Surge and swab engineering.
Module 6: Pumping out of hole.
Module 7: Inside the well.
Module 8: Case study ECD design excercise.
Module 9: Quiz.

Audience: This training is ideal for engineers, company men, directional drillers, mud engineers, rig managers, and others in the industry who want to prevent issues and enhance drilling efficiency.

Dedication: Estimated completion time, 3 hours. Including practice exercises.
